Founded and established by Jean-Pierre Fougeiret, LE COPAIN is active in western Switzerland since 1993. Jean-Pierre Fougeiret was trained in Franceto become a companion dog trainer by an organisation which relied on theideals of Canine Companions for Independence in US.
This organisation in the US, which is based in Santa Rosa (California), trains companion dogs for handicapped people since more than 30 years.
